Best Halloween Costumes for Family Theme

You cannot really go wrong with Disney as a starting point if you want to do something for the whole family.

There is a wide range of characters and groups that will be easy and awesome to get matching costumes for. The Incredibles is a great choice to get the inspiration going! The characters all have their own very distinct personalities and abilities, just like any family!

If the adults aren’t into dressing up and you just want something for the kiddos, then still look at groups of characters.

Take your cue from what your child is watching! Peppa Pig perhaps? Or even the characters in the books you are reading with or to them.

Best Halloween Costumes for Babies

Babies are always, ALWAYS fun to dress up. They are adorable and they have no complaints!

The list is endless really for what you can dress your baby up as, but the top costumes are usually little animals. Click on through here for some ideas but take a gander at the octopus, the dinosaur, a lion and the sloth! They are perfect for babies as they’re plush while at the same time, let the little one move around and have mobility in their costume.

The best thing really is to get your baby into a costume that they also like so they aren’t too fussy when you put it on. That sloth costume though is so adorable, isn’t it?

Now we are entering the age wherein your babies are starting to have little opinions, but they have a lot of them. And they move faster, and are beginning or are already talking and walking.

The best costumes for these little darlings are usually ones that they know because as we all know, they can be a little fussy with some choices we parents make. But because it is that ripe age of mobility for them, the choices for costumes now grow wider!

You have the Paw Patrol Crew or The My Little Pony costumes to choose from! You can add on the Disney princesses and other characters from the cartoons. Or you can go all superhero (which we’re sure they love), and deck them out in capes, shields, and weapons of all sorts, so long as they are plushy.

Because they now are starting to have little personalities come out, it is also fun to put them in funny costumes like an inflatable costume that looks like they’re riding a dinosaur!

The thing with those types of costumes is that they can be for both girls and boys so if you have more than one child of toddler age, it will be cute to see a whole herd of them together, for example. Unless they put their tiny feet down, throw a tantrum and tell you they want their own superhero cape and sword.

During the ages of 5 until about 10, it is now going to be exactly what they want. But if you’re really clever though you can still figure out a way to get them to go with a theme.

Nonetheless, the best costumes for that age group becomes a little more elaborate. Some have more accessories for it, like a Frozen-inspired dress, to a multi-weaponed and armoured warrior costume for boys.

They may want to go nuts with the accessories but make sure to remind them that they need to MOVE and remind them that the early bird always gets the best candy.

Best Halloween Costumes for Tweens

Oh, this is when things get a little more daring for the kids. This is s a time when both boys and girls are starting to find out certain things with their bodies, maybe even start to push some boundaries and some may see this as a time to experiment.

Just make sure that it is age-appropriate and that you as their parent and they as your baby are both comfortable with their choices.  More than anything, the costumes they pick out for themselves should be able to let them be able to run around and have a way to expend all that extra energy. A top boys costume is the Hunter Deluxe Halloween Costume and This Red Queen costume is a winner in our books for girls.

Or you can suggest that they dress up as a group with their friends if they aren’t already. This is usually a fun and easy way of getting costumes they like and they’ll have fun planning it with their friends! Give them ideas that they can use like they can dress up as their favourite band or be the Justice League.

Whether you go all out on Halloween or just tend to stay in..

The kids will usually have a blast dressing up and you should be supportive of them when they do. It is that one night of the year where everyone can be someone else, or even something else, and it is always a fun thing to do together and an experience that they can remember when they grow up.

Remember to have fun and a happy Halloween to you!
